I also have grown to appreciate the act of shoveling snow, not the least of which is because it often is the only time you'll see all your neighbors out in the middle of the winter. But... I also love to do it late, late at night. Or even after midnight when it's actually the next day, as I did this last week when it was really coming down all evening.
And then... you are alone in the quietest of worlds, surrounded by sparkling crystals that light up the dark, and it's like best kind of meditation and appreciation all at once.
